Is WCSS meeting your training needs?
Take our 3-question survey and let us know how we can improve.
Under Alberta Energy Regulator’s Directive 071 (Section 10) and Saskatchewan’s Directive S-01 (Section 2.3), WCSS Oil Spill Cooperative members (duty holders) must have a representative attend the annual training exercise in the Cooperative where that member has operations.
WCSS members are responsible for observing when and where their area exercises will take place. A yearly training schedule will be mailed out with each membership invoice package and will always be up to date on the website.
Many WCSS programs can be made available in-house for small groups that would like to hone their skills as a team and gain a collective familiarity with spill response equipment.
ICS Canada is highly recommended training for all member companies, and WCSS is happy to offer classroom training for levels 100 and 200 for groups of 12 or more, upon request. The training is also available online through the Alberta Municipal Health and Safety Association for individuals or smaller groups.
