Scott Andrews is the Sr. Spill Preparedness and Response Advisor for Cenovus Energy and has worked in the Oil and Gas sector for over 10 years. His emergency management experience extends to over 15 years and incorporates many responsibilities including upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, private consulting, and aviation. Previous to this, his career path incorporated roles in Aviation operations and finance.
Scott has represented the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers in the past on both the Emergency Management Steering Committee and BC Provincial Coordination Response Task Force and currently sits on the Land Based Spills Emergency Program-Funding Committee. His WCSS involvement has progressed from area chairman to zone alternate chairman. This has enabled him to ensure the continuity of practical experience, equipment stewardship, and striving to instill new education and practical applications of spill response to its members.
In his current role within Cenovus Energy, Scott leads the spill program for North American operations, both on and off shore. This includes maintaining jurisdictional compliance and governance, tactical strategies, and driving continuous improvement of the program.
