The Incident Command System (ICS) is an up-to-date internationally recognized emergency response organizational structure developed to effectively manage all types of incidents such as spills, fires and explosions, and serious vehicle or production accidents. Recognized by the AER as an effective baseline level of training for the upstream oil & gas industry, students will be better prepared to act in a support role at an incident or spill. Topics covered in this introductory course include an ICS Canada overview and ICS organization, basic terminology and common responsibilities.
